William Bell, Fire Police Captain:
Warrington Fire Company, Station 29
On January 19, 1964, Fire Police Captain Bell was killed in the line of duty while directing traffic at an accident scene.
Rudolph W. Bisler, Firefighter:
Feasterville Fire Company, Station 1
On April 8, 1971, Firefighter Bisler died in the line of duty after suffering a heart attack while driving an engine to a fire at the Phoenix Swim Club in Lower Southampton Twp.
Julian R. Bley, Sr. Assistant Chief:
Bristol Fire Company No. 1, Station 51
On June 8th 1984 Assistant Chief Bley was killed in the line of duty when he was electrocuted while operating on Box 53-16 at the Purex Corp, Radcliffe Street.
John S. Buranich III, Firefighter:
Edgely Fire Company, Station 10
On November 10, 1976 Firefighter Buranich died in the line of duty from injuries, which occurred on July 23, 1976 while responding on Box 10-36.
Henry Costello, Fire Police Captain:
Line Lexington Fire Company, Station 60
On October 20, 1975, Fire Police Captain Costello died in the line of duty on Box 60-01, while operating at a fire at the Hillside Inn 1903 Bethlehem Pike.
Jacob C. Crouthamel, Firefighter:
Perkasie Fire Company, Station 26
On April 1, 1926, Firefighter Crouthamel was killed in the line of duty when his apparatus he was in crashed while going to a drill in Quakertown.
John C. Doster, Fire Police Captain
Edgely Fire Company, Station 10
Fire Police Captain Doster was assigned to traffic control duties at a warehouse fire incident located at 200 Reetz Avenue in Langhorne, PA, on February 25, 2015. He left the active scene for his home after not feeling well while he was performing his duties. Within hours of arriving home his condition worsened and he was transported to Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA. After being at Lower Bucks Hospital he was brought to another facility, but then to St. Mary’s Hospital in Langhorne, PA, after his condition continued to deteriorate. He later died at St. Mary’s Hospital on April 2, 2015.
Wesley Evans, Firefighter:
Bristol Consolidated Fire Company, Station 50
On December 12th, 1975, Firefighter Evans died in the line of duty of a heart attack while operating on Box 53-35, 332 Cleveland Street.
Dale Curtis Francis, Paramedic
Lifestar Ambulance Corps.
On August 24, 2001 Dale Curtis Francis went into full cardiac arrest after transporting a patient to St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital. Dale was resuscitated and transferred to St. Luke’s in Bethlehem where he died from complications of cardiac bypass surgery.
Louis Funk, Firefighter
Cornwells Fire Company Station 16
On August 19, 1924, Firefighter Funk succumbed to complications from injuries he sustained while operating at a fire on August 9, 1924. His right arm had to be amputated due to severe electrical burns, he later died from tetanus.
Thomas J. Gibson, Captain:
Union Fire Company, Station 37
On March 6th 1985 Firefighter Gibson was killed in the line of duty when he fell from an aerial ladder while operating on Box 11-33.
Tom Graver, Fire Police Captain:
Feasterville Fire Company, Station 1
On February 19, 1974, Fire Police Captain Graver was killed in the line of duty while directing traffic at Street Road and Pennsylvania Blvd.
Geary Von Hoffman, Firefighter:
Falls Township Fire Company no. 1, Station 30
On April 26, 1976 Firefighter Hoffman was killed in the line of duty while operating on Box 30-41 when a flashover occurred at the St. George’s Diner on Lincoln Highway.
James F. Hurley, Firefighter:
Yardley-Makefield Fire Company, Station 0
In April 1949, Firefighter Hurley was killed in the line of duty on Box 0-1, when he was crushed between the ladder truck and the fire station bay door.
Stanley R. Konefal, Fire Chief:
Cornwells Fire Company No.1, Station 16
On November 15th, 1986, Chief Konefal died in the line of duty when he was overcome by fumes while operating on Box 16-4, 1154 Tennis Avenue.
Milton E. Majors, Captain
Union Fire Company, Station 37
On November 8th 1988 Captain Majors was killed in the line of duty after being struck by an automobile on Box 37-08.
Nelson “Snooky” Margerum, Fire Chief
Yardley-Makefield Fire Company, Station 0
On March 15, 1992 Chief Margerum died in the line of duty after suffering a heart attack while operating on Box 0-5, 326 Big Oak Road.
Frederick W. Mayberry, Firefighter:
Silverdale Fire Company, Station 59
On October 5, 1983, Firefighter Mayberry died in the line of duty after suffering a heart attack while participating in training evolutions at the Bucks County Fire School, Box 79-57.
Daniel McIntosh, Paramedic
Bensalem Emergency Medical Service, Station 186
On March 7, 2010 Paramedic Daniel McIntosh died in the line of duty after having a heart attack while helping a suicidal patient. Dan served Bucks County as a firefighter for the Point Pleasant Fire Company and as a police officer for Hulmeville Borough and as member of the Southern Bucks County SWAT Team.
Walter D. Miller, Firefighter:
Croydon Fire Company, Station 11
On September 28th 1970, Firefighter Miller was killed in the line of duty while operating on box 11-34, falling from the apparatus at State road and Cedar Avenue.
Walter L. Moore, Foreman:
Bristol Fire Company No. 1, Station 51
On April 21, 1915, Foreman Moore was killed in the line of duty while his apparatus he was riding in was struck by a train while responding to house boat fires.
Louis. D Patti, Fire Police Officer
Warwick Township Fire Company No. 1, Station 66
On Sunday December 6, 2015 Fire Police Officer Patti suffered a stroke after he returned home from a call. He was transported to the hospital by EMS. Fire Police Patti never recovered from the stroke and later passed away on December 22, 2015.
Robert Roberts, Firefighter:
Hartsville Fire Company, Station 93
On September 17, 1972, Firefighter Roberts died in the line of duty after suffering from a heart attack on a dwelling fire in Warminster.
David S. Rubright, Assistant Chief:
Levittown Fire Company No. 1, Station 32
On November 15, 1969, Assistant Chief Rubright was killed in the line of duty with a heart attack shortly after performing search and rescue on Box 32-4, 16 Narcissus Lane.
Willis Sames, Firefighter:

On April 1, 1926, Firefighter Sames was killed in the line of duty when his apparatus he was in crashed while going to a drill in Quakertown.
Walter F. Vaughan, Fire Police Officer
Warminster Fire Company, Station 90
On November 13, 1999 Fire Police Officer Vaughan was killed in the line of duty while directing traffic on Box 92-36, 1575 West Street Road.
Carl A. Weiss, Emergency Medical Technician
Lifestar Ambulance Corps.
On January 26, 2002 EMT Carl A. Weiss reported to work and went to the ER suffering from chest pains. Later that day Carl died in St. Lukes’s Quakertown Hospital.
David A. Wintz, Fire Police Captain
Bristol Fire Company No. 1, Station 51
On May 16, 2012 Fire Police Captain suffered a fatal heart attack while directing traffic on Box 11-99, 200 Route 413, Bristol Township.
Watson Eyre Wright Jr., Firefighter:
Warwick Fire Company Station 66
On Dec 7, 1974, Firefighter Wright died in the line of duty after suffering a heart attack after returning from a dwelling fire.
Paul Wurst, Fire Police Officer:
Union Fire Company Station 37
On October 11, 1958 Fire Police Officer Wurst died in the line of duty after suffering a heart attack while directing traffic at the scene of a garage fire at the Red Lion Inn on box 16-01.
